Our Shorewood Hills Elementary School PTO starts the year with our Annual Appeal, which funds our budget for the school year. This year’s goal is to raise $15,000 by November 1st!

Two weeks to go and just over halfway to our goal! So far, Shorewood Hills Elementary families have donated $8,575! Can you help us raise $6,425 to reach our goal of $15,000?

What does the PTO budget fund?

  • Funding school community-building events, like the outdoor Fall Festival, International Week, Science Night, 5th grade graduation, and more!

  • Supporting all students with spirit gear and yearbooks for everyone, regardless of ability to pay.

  • Funding student enrichment opportunities, like the poet David Daniel, after-school clubs, and more!

  • Recognizing our teachers and staff with meals throughout the year and a teacher/staff member discretionary fund – a small budget to help pay for classroom needs. 

  • Supporting families in need at our school and in our community. With our Families in Need Fund, we collaborate directly with our school social worker to provide gift cards and other items to families.

  • Funding teacher and school special requests – For example, our fundraising helped us put new water bottle- filling stations throughout the school, to purchase rollerblading equipment for 2nd/3rd/4th/5th graders to use in PE, to support the Impact Club’s mural, and more! 

If each family at our school gave $40 per child, we’d meet our goal.  

However, no gift is too small… the small gifts add up! If you have the means, please consider donating up to $250 per child, a gift that works out to only $25 per month for the10 months of the school year. 

Your donation directly supports your child’s education. The sooner items can be purchased and programs can be funded, the sooner your child will benefit.
