2024 FALL CHESS CLUB INFO
The Shorewood Hills Elementary School Chess Club is OPEN for registration. The Chess Club is led by The World Chess Federation Master Alex Betaneli, and the Club is open to SHES students, generally from grades 2nd through 5th of all chess abilities, but please contact Alex directly if your younger student has 1) participated before, or 2) you feel strongly that your younger student is adequately equipped to handle strong play.
The Fall 2024 session of chess club consists of 8 classes. The classes will meet every Tuesday from September 10th through
November 5th at 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Shorewood Hills Elementary School in the LMC (Library). There will be no class on
September 24th.
Registration is OPEN. If you are interested, please send an e-mail with “Fall 2024 Chess Club – “Student Name” in the subject line to yehudaagus@gmail.com with the following information:

There can be no refunds after the first session and there are no pro-rata class options. The maximum number of students is 24. In the past there have been many more students who wished to participate than spots available.
In general, priority will be given to those who have participated in the club before, and then on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Zoom orientation once you receive registration confirmation.
If you prefer a virtual chess club option, please contact Alex Betaneli directly. (We will have virtual clubs for elementary school
students TBD).
Fee:
The fee is $170 per student for the entire session. Once enrollment is finalized, I will send an e-mail indicating methods for payment.
