    • Parade and Performance

During International Week, Shorewood Hills Elementary School hosts its annual performance and parade. This enormously popular event spotlights the cultural and national diversity among our students. There are two shows: a morning event during the school day for students and staff, and an evening event for family and friends. Each show starts with the parade, immediately followed by the performance. Children may participate in either or both the parade and performance, or as a student announcer during the shows.

      Important Performance Details:
In the performance, children showcase dance, music or any form of performance from their own country or another country. Each child is introduced on stage. Further details are sent via email after sign up.
      Important Parade Details:
In the parade, the student performers and parade participants kick off the performance by parading to the stage. Students may wear a traditional costume or their performance outfit.

    • Global Village

      What is the Global Village?
The Global Village is a wonderful opportunity for students and families to learn about other countries and discover the rich diversity of cultures in our own school community. During the event, our school’s classrooms will be transformed into country displays with posters, artwork, coins, clothing, jewelry, etc., from various countries. Visitors can travel from room to room, participating in hands-on activities and filling a passport with stamps as they go.
