The SHES Read-A-Thon is a reading event that encourages your child’s love of reading while raising funds for supplemental classroom literacy materials, the SHES library and the UW American Family Children’s Hospital.
Encourage your student to set a reading goal, collect pledges and track their reading minutes during the Read-A-Thon, which runs from January 25 – February 8. The Read-A-Thon will culminate with an assembly on February 19, that includes certificates, prizes and the option to dress-up as a favorite literary character!
The printed packets are being sent home as backpack mail this week. If your student did not receive the printed backpack mail packet due to the winter weather school closure on Friday, links to the documents are available: flyer, reading logs and pledge forms. There are also additional copies in the SHES Main Office.
